S.2626 Passes in Senate Unanimously 37-0!
Victory in the Senate! Moving onto the House!
This afternoon, the Senate unanimously voted 37-0 to pass S.2626 ‘An act regarding breakfast after the bell’! This is HUGE!
Thank you to our bill sponsor Senator Sal DiDomenico, Senate President Karen Spilka and all of our other leaders and friends within the Massachusetts State Senate!
This significant step in the legislative process means we are closer to providing access to school breakfast to more than 150,000 children in need across the Commonwealth.
We are very close to passing this bill by July 31st, but we need to now move the bill through the House of Representatives!
What’s next? Take Action:
- Contact the House Ways and Means members and ask them to swiftly vote the breakfast after the bell bill out of committee.
- Contact your State Senator and say THANK YOU!!
- Share on Facebook and Twitter: #BreakfastAfterTheBell and tag @GR8BosFoodBank
WE ARE SO CLOSE!
